96 Sunfire axle

I replaced the lower ball joint and the hub on my wife's 96 Sunfire. During the reassembly, I pulled the inner shaft off the spline of the inner CV by accident. I managed to put it back. Now, it makes noise while driving. Sounds like it is out of phase or balanced. Probably off by one or a few splines. Is there a way to align it without taking the boot off? thanks

I don't know that mis aligning the spline is possible now when you said you pulled it out did you make sure that you re greased everything ? and checked to make sure that the bearings didn't get dropped are there any other issues? does it feel like there are rocks in the steering linkages? Now I have read that when doing one side you should do the other hub as well. Send more information and pictures if you can to [email protected] so I have a better idea on what exactly happened

Re: 96 Sunfire axle

I took the easy way out by replacing the drive axle. Thanks
