Painting wheels..

What are the best ways to paint wheels? What rattle can brand/type works best? Is a clear cote good to do too?

I am painting my 05 raptor 660 wheels black just wondering what to use so that it looks good and lasts.

Just use a good brand spray paint like Duplicolor automotive paint. Yeah, clear them also. And be sure you scuff the surface before you paint, if you want it to stick.

+1... i wouldn't recommend doing this Paul.... every car/truck/bike i have seen that had "painted" their wheels, they always chip, and always look like crap after a few months of use... i would honestly say the best way would be to take the wheels off the bike, remove the tires, and have the rims powder coated right from the start. it will cost more, but the finish will be MUCH more durable, and it will make the bike look much nicer. but, its your bike....LOTS of prep time, LOTS of drying time, and LOTS of care for the wheels, and i guess if you really want to "paint" them, then... go for it.

How much does powdercoating cost like for a set of 4 wheeler rims?
