Replacing clutch in 2000 gt

I have a 2000 gt stang 4.6 5 speed not the t-5 the other tranny. I recently installed bbk long tube headers in the car. Has anyone installed a new clutch without droping the pain in the a$$ long tube headers? can this be done

Re: Replacing clutch in 2000 gt

From everything I've read, you will NOT be able to drop the tranny with the BBK LT's. This is the T45 tranny and has an integral bellhousing so it comes out as a unit and needs a lot of side clearance. I think you'll have to drop at least one side to do this job. And, these trannys are heavier because of the integrated bellhousing.

I think Kook's will clear.

Good luck.....
