Goopy coolant

Pretty sure i no whats comin but......
got a 96 sl1 SOHC 115k auto
Oil stays clean but coolant has always had a nasty look but the car runs great temp is always where is should be never high even on the 90+ days. never really lost any oil till recently it started to. so cracked head or head gasket?

what would the coolant smell like it it was oil in it. because i really think someone just put stop leak or something in the coolant. idk help would be great....thanks ill quit rambling now ha - Josh

Re: Goopy coolant

SOHC---> Cracked head most likely.

If the coolant changed color rapidly along with a increase in loss of oil....id say you have a problem.

But if the car is running fine...id prolly run it till it dies
