p225/70/r15 on a 2002 venture?

can it be done? i have some left over from me jeep. will they fit? break anything?
i think i have p205/70/r15 right now.

The original tire size for that was 215/70-15. If you go to http://www.csgnetwork.com/tireinfo4calc.html you will see the difference in size. I think you may be a little too wide, but they may fit. The circumference is only 2% difference so you should be OK there. I think the true test would be to try them on the front and see if they interfere with a full lock to lock turn.

My buddy has 'em on his 99 venture. Its tight, but they fit.

they will be a little taller 1/2 " or so being 225 but being a 70 series they will be the same width.. i put a set of 235/60/15s on my '99 and talk about cornering.

Um, they won't be the same width. 225 is the width (225mm), 70 is the aspect ratio of width to sidewall height expressed as a percentage or in other words the sidewall height is 70% of the width (70% of 225mm or 157.5mm). If you follow the link I posted you can see the differences.

well, i looked it up. i hope itll be gonna be ok. 235 is just too much lol...but between 98 and 2000 something nothing much changed right?

225:25.4x.70x2+15=27.4" Thats the formula I use to figure out tire size difrence. That tire will be .5" taller.

are you sure because a 235/60/15 is an inch wider and same height as a 215/70/15. i was always told first three numbers height /second set width /third set rim size. so a 225/70/15 would basically be the same width as 215/70/15.this is one size up not a lot of difference in width just heigth `1/2"
