Went to the Airshow Today(WARNING PIC INTENSIVE!)

Hey all went to Luke AFB today for the Airshow and the 50th Aniversary of the Thunderbirds, had a great time and drank many beers. Here are some pics. Hope you enjoy.

The pic quality is low because I used .03 MP I only have 1 16mb card sorry.

BTW the F16 beat the 800 horse Viper in the half mile race.












For some reason the officer guarding this plane would not let me take a picture of the F117A standing directly in front of it.????

seems lke u had alot of fun, but i need to ask, whats those puffs of black smoke in the last pic? did a plane go down?

No it was pretty awesome for about 10 mins they did a reinactment of the war over pearl harbor stuffr was blowing up all over the place they had some pretty cool pyrotechnics. I have a crapload more pics but did not post them an a pretty cool vid of it all to.

There were no accidents at the airshow today.

awesome! unfortunatley, due to September 11th, the annual airshow in my area that i've been to with my dad every year since i was 3 was cancelled for 2002. hopefully it'll be back this year, because the year doesn't seem complete without it! at our airshow, they have the airshow and also a rice car show. i usually go just to check it out, but it's usually all crap. meh!

Yeah security was very tight, they patted down every single person and there was over 100,000 ppl there so it was a chore to get in to but well worth the weight.

Beer was only 3 US dolars. LOL I drank way to many as I had a Designated Driver.

Yeah it was way cool, I am going tomarrow again.

They were supposed to show the F117A in action but the military ppl said that the only show worthy one was on its way to the middle east... so we did not see it in action. My friend that went with me is an Honerably discharged AirForce groundsman that has guarded the F117A and he said that they removed a bunch of stuff like the cameras and anti radar devices from the stealth that I took pictures of.

He did not know why the would not let us take pics of the front of the aircraft though.

It is truely an alien looking craft though(up close). I wonder where the pentagon got the idea from. HMMMMMM

Thats awsome. I was always big into aviation. When I was a kid I had Blue Angel posters all over my room. Its always fun to have billions of dollars of fighter planes fly right over your head.

Im in WI so I usually go to the Oshckosh air show every year, LOTS of stuff there! Man...to hear a dozen P51 Stangs fly over you...nothing like it!

I was out by Luke AFB last Friday afternoon. As I was heading east on Northern to get back home I saw lines of Vipers headed out there. I lost count after 35 hehe. Unfortunately I couldnt make it to the show....see my rant about dealers thread and you'll know how I spent my Saturday At least I saved come $$ and figured out my problem though
