I have a chrysler T&C lxi (98). sometimes while trying to start the van the odometer , part indication, temp guage, fuel guage, tach and speedometer will not come on. The other lights above will come on as normal ie. alarm, abs, oil.
When this happens the van will not turn over. Let it sit for 30 min, 1 day, 3 days with out moving it darn thing and she will start. New transmission in March all of this started in May and continues to get worse. I have replaced the battery, pos & neg cables and the ignation switch. It has been in the shop wat to many times and no answers. All I hear is bring it back when it wont start.

Re: sarge03

Don't laugh. Next time the van doesn't wake up smack the dash above the instrument cluster. If everything comes alive, including the starter, you have bad solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board. Specifically the solder joints connecting the cluster connector to the circuit board. Your symptoms are a classic sign of it. It all has to do with the CCD multyplex data bus and it's path through the instrument cluster. If that "fixes" it, we can show you how to make a permanent fix.
