94 2.3L remove engine?

Here's the car:
1994 Grand Am SE, 2.3L Quad, great body, great interior

Here's the problem:
Spun rod bearing, crankshaft wore down, possible cracked head

Here's the question:
Can the transmission be put into neutral, everything disconnected, the car body raised up and the engine / trans rolled out on the wheels?
After that I could seperate the engine from the trans and remove the crank and rod as needed.

Taking the wheels off then finding a way to roll everything out on a dolly, without breaking the pan, seems silly.
Seperating the trans first then rolling out the engine seems even harder.

Has anyone done this?
Thanks
