Passenger Headlight Lowbeam

My Factory Bulb Went Out Last Year, On A 02 Trailblazer , I Have Since Repalced The Bulb 3 Times In One Year. THE QUESTION IS WHY IS THIS HAPPENING.

Look inside the socket see if the plastic is melted, mine has had that problem and I spliced in a Napa replacement socket with heavier wires and contacts. Also make sure the headlamp ground is good.

Re: Passenger Headlight Lowbeam

Had this problem on the drivers side headlight. Took all the electrical plugs apart that connect in any way with either headlight assembly.
Definitely check for burnt sockets(if they are burnt ,bulb has been getting reduced voltage due to poor connection which will shorten bulb life).

Then I cleaned contacts and used dielectric goo on all the connections.
Then chased the ground connections, cleaned them up too.

That corrected the problem.
