2000 S10 goes into 4wd on its own

Hello, I have a 2000 S10 pick up ext cab 4x4. When I am driving down the road in 2wd it will go into 4w high all by it's self, I don't have the auto 4wd feature. if I am sitting still in park with the engine running it will go into 4wd Low all by it's self, I switch it back to 2wd and it goes right back into 4wd some of the time. Any Ideas? Let me know. Thanks!!!

Proper testing before throwing parts at it.
Any codes?
I would test the push button switch to start with.

You are welcome.
How did you check for codes?
On the non auto you have to ground pin 13 to get codes?
And watch the shift button lights.
Does all button lights come on for a buld check key on?
