GAGT sounds like GTP

power steering problem
whole lot of noise when turning when stopped. and it sounds like a blower when you get on the gas
is it a pulley issue or the whole unit?
it was once replaced with a new pulley ten thousand miles ago, so im a little confused

any help would be appreciated

on older cars a squeel would signify a loose belt but with a serpintine that is not as likely (some belts will squeek but it is generally not constant). What will cause a steering pump to howl would be a low fluid level.

thats the other thing, fluid level is always fine

Sounds like the pump is shot!

I've seen and heard this many times with these newr pumps.
I'd recommend flushing the system good before installing a new pump.

thats one thing i didnt do, i never thought to purge the thing when i put the last one in

Might try flushing it before you replace the pump again.
Thier is a flush procedure in the Tips and Maintenance section.

They even recommed replacing the hoses they break down and cuase the fluid to turn brown/black(should be clear), but if they arent leaking you probly dont need to yet.
