that was the sickest street racing video that i ever saw. that E36 is fuckin fast. i'm surprise the F360 actually was takin it on the straights. i mean that M3 was takin out 996 turbos and diablos

Yeah everytime they reached 250 kph the Modena all of a sudden would just start pulling back the lead. That was pretty intense it gave that BMW a good fight.

actually i paused and read the begining of the video. that ferrari was modded, it has is ECU reburned to have its fuel map optimized for hp, it has no cats, larger freeier flowing intake, and somethign else. now i see why its soo fast. i never knew people mod those cars, but non the less it is sick~!

Consdering that BMW is only pushing what the M5 is factory that isn't impressive what is really disappointing is how the other two super cars, Diablo and Ferrari were very unimpressive
![]() 415hp is nothing to brag about in this day and age of super cars. It was entertaining none the less cheers.

Razor: That m3 is 175 horsies over stock.. if my math is correct. I do feel that that is something to brag about. And from my knowledge, it takes a GRIP of money to gain that much power.. unlike the almighty skyline... like yours.... ack... I want one too...

Actually as GTR's go mine is slug. it is just off standard in the power increase has been nice but still boring as hell.
As I watched those vids again judging as best I can comparing to a number of Jap vids where they are doing 300+ clicks down the motorways, that brings me to another point. It just does not seem to be 300 clicks more like about 260ish. Even so it is damn fast no matter how you slice it. As he was posting the speeds it seemed to climb very rapidly past up to the 300k mark way to fast for only pushing 415hp. The wind resistance would be huge at that speed and an M3 is about as areodynamic as a skyline or should I say brick. As I said good vids to watch and add to my collection so cheers for that, I just don't believe what I see in stuff like that when they base i on a given hp rating. That vid also said it was super charged. Giving that I would have thought the increase would be more. I also thought the M3 pushed 300hp factory? Either way it did well and that in itself is a huge congrats ![]() Personally I have shat all over an M5 and M3 so I wonder if I would be able to do the same hehehe

since that m3 was from turkey it has 321 hp not like the weaksause E36 that we get in the states with only 250hp. but how is 415 wheel hp the same as a M5? the M5 pushes 400hp at the crank. so thats around 360 hp at the wheels on a car that weights about 3600+ lb. that little E36 pushes out 55 more wheel hp and weights around 500lbs less. so it should be a rocket non the less and it is.

Point well taken. I just have a hard time believing that the M3 (or a tuned 360, 360GT's only have aprox. 430bhp) can serve a severe beating to the Diablo. The M3 is certainly heavily breathed on but if you were to put those two cars on a clear road with not obstacles, I believe the M3 would have its hands full. That being said this M3 looks well put together!!

remember thats 415 at the wheels on a car that is considerably lighter then a lambo. however, the m3's aerodynamics sucks ass so it sorta balances out the power to weight compared to the lambo

Just a bunch of info...
Cd of E36 M3 is no brick, of course not as slippery as newer cars: 0.32 for Sedan & 0.31 for Coupe Note E36 M3 is a small car, frontal area less than new cars like E46 M3 so aero drag is less for the same Cd. I think they quoted this +300km/h Turkey M3 at 450HP, that's about right if it is Turbo. Stock Euro E36 M3 3.2 (Evo) makes 321HP stock & 330~340HP with mild street mods without forced induction. Australian road legal version M3R makes ~350HP with a mix of Group N & Group A mods, can be tweaked to make ~385HP for race. Full race mods can make it reach reliable/endurance 400HP staying atmospheric. My friend's Diablo VT blew me away & hit 280km/h in no time & kept climbing, Lambo is Lambo. Stock F360 acceleration is fast but not THAT fast, but better aeros can make up a lot for almost the same top speed as Diablo. And we are not even discussing handling. Wind drag is very big above 250km/h, Euro M3 Evo can climb to 260km/h quickly but becomes sluggish afterwards still willing. |
