would it be safe?or would need mods?
i have a 1995 240sx with the ka24de well the point is i want to drop in a turbo but the engine is in stock conditions would be safe or itll be neccesary to replace the pistons rods and make some other after market modifications in the block to drop the turbo in my ka24de

if your careful with fuel delivery and tuning you can get away without putting pistons and rods in. but the stock HG is pretty fragile and should be replaced with a multi layer steel one.
if you want do skimp on the tune, forged pistons would be a good idea. the stock rods are at least forged even if they arent the strongest rods ever. but the pistons are cast and not as strong. that said, they have been proven to support over 400whp in a very well tuned car.

Never skimp on a tune, pay now for a good tune, or pay later for a new motor.. the stock KA is a pretty stout motor when handled correctly..
