95 Suburban shocks
Hey guys, I need a recommendation for shocks. This is for a completely stock C2500. I recently replaced all four corners with Gabriel shocks, and now I have a bit more road noise and a stiff ride, especially on the highway. What are the best shocks that are going to give me a nice even ride? This is for on road use only, and it's my daily driver. Thanks in advance.

Re: 95 Suburban shocks
Road noise may be in the tires and or wheel bearing.
Are you using over size tires or a lot of air pressure in them? A real stiff ride could be a defective shock or HD springs. I would stay with close to the oem type shock that came on it oem. Did you change tires or do anything else at the time the shocks were replaced?

Re: 95 Suburban shocks
The 2500s were intended for heavier duty service, so they were typically equipped with stiffer shocks, springs, and suspension. My guess is that your setup had worn down to your comfort level and/or to what you consider to be normal. Then replacing them with new units, the truck was restored to its original setup.
You don't mention the type of Gabriel shocks you have...there are different kinds that can give you different results.
