97 pontiac gp front driver side window

i have a 97 gp and the window has been going up slow for a good while. today it finally quit going down only and will not go up. i started to take off motor and regulator bolts, and have a question on the bottom of regulator were the window fits there are two bolts, do these bolts need to be taken off? Also are there some instructions on af in replacing the motor and regulator correctly. this would help a lot.
