2001 Mustang

Looking at possibly buying this mustang. I've seen the car... I'm not a mechanic but it seems to be in good condition and it ran just fine. Hes asking for $5,500 but Carfax has no records on this car past 2004 which concerns me. The car's odometer reads 65,000 miles.

The guy selling it is a mechanic offering a 30 day warranty whatever that means. It at least appears to be a good deal.How can I insure this car isn't a dud?
