1986 s-10 idle problem

I have a 1986 chevy s-10 2.8 and when i go to put it in gear it revs up and at a certain position in the throttle it shifts from overdrive to 3rd or 3rd to 2nd whichever speed im going i replaced the tps but that didnt seem to help

Check and adjust the TV cable to transmission.
