98 GP Headlight issue
I have searched and not really found anything similar here, so I apologize in advance if repost.
Bought a 98 GP LE for my 16yo son to drive. Had headlight issues from the beginning, including very foggy lens assemblies. Replaced those with non-OEM, so we shall see. The real issue though is with the highbeams. Both before and after the assembly replacement the highbeams seem dimmer than the the lows. They seem to point down rather than up and out. BTW, the bulb is still the 9007, thinking about going to Silverstars, but haven't yet. Any advice is greatly appreciated, espcially with a new driver behind the wheel! |

Re: 98 GP Headlight issue
If you still have the old fog up head light assy you can fix them. There is a procedure in the tips and maintenece thread on the procedure. This would give you a spare set.

Re: 98 GP Headlight issue
Take it to a body shop and get them to do a proper headlight adjustment. That helped mine more than anything. Probably got out of whack during replacement. Those little tits on the lenses are where they hook up the adjustment tools.

Re: 98 GP Headlight issue
I made some adjustments and replaced bulbs with ones of 3bay--that has helped some. Biggest issue right now is trying to use the brights. When switching to brights it's like the brights point almost straight down. Not sure how else to explain it. Any ideas??????

Re: 98 GP Headlight issue
The only thing I can think of, are the bulbs installed in the correct position.
