Fuel filter (search with no results)
well, i think its time i look into changing out my fuel filter. i was done 30k ago, and since i have a tickle to work on the car, i guess i'll change it. what do you guys recommend? oem or aftermarket? which one works the best? i'm running 93oct. pump gas, with a 255HP LPH walbro pump.

Re: Fuel filter (search with no results)
its not a real scientific part either one will do I have used a 6-an 1000 microfilter one and then switched to a new stock one and it made 0 difference far as I can tell. Save your money just go with stock imo unless you are using -6an lines (or 8 if your the king) the real bitch is getting that mofo off :S

Re: Fuel filter (search with no results)
Don't snap that fuel line when taking the filter off, like I did...The damn line twisted right off with the filter. Went to Summit and got some SS braided line and fittings and ran it from the tank all the way up through to the filter (much easier than replacing it with regular line because it's flexible, stock isn't).

Re: Fuel filter (search with no results)
Yeah, not fun to take off. I got smart and replaced mine while I had the transmission out...the second time...made it alot easier to get to the bottom fitting.

Re: Fuel filter (search with no results)
I really didn't have too much of an issue changing mine even though it looked like it had never been changed. Do all of you guys have 2nd gen DSMs? Are they located in a different location compared to the 1st gens?

I dont know where they are on a 1g but on a 2g car they are located on the firewall underneath the battery

Re: Fuel filter (search with no results)
They aren't that bad. I actually think it would be hard to change one on the firewall with the motor in.
