Weird Cooling Problem
Hi all,
I have a 96 Neon Sport. When you start the car, the cooling fans start immediately. When the car reaches normal running temperature, the fans shut off. Its like a fan switch is working in reverse. But I guess there is not a regular fan switch, but just a temperature sensor that tells the computer the temp, and the computer turns the fans on and off. Is that right? The sensor has three wires? Anyway, if I have this all right, then could anyone tell me which terminals I would have to jumper in the fan relay slot, to get the fans to stay on until I can afford to replace the computer? Or if I'm wrong, any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Re: Weird Cooling Problem
The coolent sensor on the engine has two parts one for the gage and one tells the computer the temp.

Re: Weird Cooling Problem
The sensor has three wires the violet & yellow wire to ground works the gage and the other two go to the computer. The sensor or the wiring to the computer could be bad.
