oil in intake manifold
oil in the intake manifold what does this mean, and how do i fix this problem any help or comments will help. car still dies out replaced the egr and vac solenoid.
info: 1999 dodge stratus, 2.0l ,4cyl,SOHC, manual trans, fuel inject. |

Bad PCV valve? I belive that enters right into the intake. I think there is another breather off the back side of the valve cover that enters into the stock intake tube.

![]() Circled in green is the PCV valve. If you've never replaced it, it may need it. Ever hear a whistling? Do you have oil in the throttle body at all? Clean it out with throttle body cleaner and the car running. Rev the engine a little and spray the cleaner into the bypass just over the throttle plate. You will probably get quite a bit of black crap come out. Clean out the throttle body the best you can too. If you need more pics let me know. Hope this helps and good luck. |
