Code 12 is nothing to worry about, it just means that battery has been disconneted in the last 50 cycles. Here is a site with a reouble code list:

By tranny pack I assume you mean the solenoid pack. Have you checked the input and output sensors and their wiring connectors?? Remove the wiring connector to the TCM and check for loose wires or corrision. Sounds like convertor lockup is not operating correctly.

Best thing is to have the tranny codes read by someone with the scanner capable to do this. These are not the codes retrieved by the key dance.
