starting problem 1988 firebird

i own a 1988 firebird with a 305 throttle body. everytime i go to start it up i have to give it gas or it will just stay trying to turn over. any suggestions? i was thinking a fuel ingection problem but im not sure

very vague. take the air clean assy off and have someone crank it while you watch for fuel spray from the injectors. post again with the results of that test.
