1996 1996 honda accord upper radiator hose collapsing
..ok..replaced the radiator(hoses too) because it was cracked..no big deal.so i check the coolant a couple days later and noticed the upper hose keeps collapsing.its the 2.2 engine(no vtec)auto trans...got me stumped.never heard of a thermostst causing this condition.no luck under the forums search either...any help is much appreciated.....Matt |

That could the problem with aftermarket hoses (if you used them).
But it also sounds like a problem with the the radiator cap: it should direct the extra collant to the expantion tank, or pull the more collant in if the system needs it. Sam

thanx for all who responded.turns out the pressure relief valve in the radiator cap was toast.replaced cap(although it was brand new with the radiator)and havent had anymore problems...............
