Rodeo glove compartment lock stuck

95 Rodeo - I locked my glove compartment but I think something in there wedged against the locking mechanism from the inside (it was pretty full). Now with the key, the lock won't turn to unlock - it doesn't budge at all either way even though the key goes all the way in. Is there some other way to get in there, like thru the paneling or must I call a locksmith on this one?
