oil changing time....
2000 windstar 103587 miles and running strong, i use mobil 1 10w30 down here in south florida, i have been reading up on mobil 1 website new 0w30 oil out, saving gas is great but i dont want to hurt the engine is it safe to use 0w30? of should i stick to the 10w30. thanks,

My gut feel is that it is OK.
I am in Wisconsin.....and the 0W-30 would help in our cold weather. I do know that FORD issued a TSB that says that 5W-20 is recommended. I am using that....my '96 3.8L has just over 200K miles on it and is doing just great.

Use the 5w 20 oil and always go by what the manufacturer,Ford says to use.
