2001 metro issues
hay all, ive got a 2001 metro and just started having issues with the engine. it will stall at times, the check engine light comes on and off at times,and it is hard to start at times. one time with the check engine light on i ran the scanner and it pointed to the cam position sensor. but like i say the cel is not on all the time. i put a different battery in it since a battery going bad may do wierd things to a car, but it didnt help. the oil light and battery light will come on intermittemnly letting me know its getting ready to stall. everything i just mentioned is intermittent. and is there any way to bench test the cam position sensor? any help will be appreciated and thanks.

If the code was for a cam sensor and is intermittent like your CEL then I would start by examining the wiring to the sensor and then replace it.

Bad ground, most likely the big one on the back of the engine.
