Changing speakers on 2008 Civic LX

Hi!! Can anyone give me pointers as to how to change the speakers (both front and back). While we are at that, can you also give me info about what speakers sound reasonably better than the factory speakers, but not too expensive. I used to own a old civic before and previous owner had installed Pioneer speakers that used to produce lower frequency sounds better. Now I can't tolerate the sound in the new civic.

Thanks!

Re: Changing speakers on 2008 Civic LX

I have an '07 LX...As far as what brand of speakers I would look at kicker, RF, alpine, etc.. But I personally have had trouble finding a direct factory replacement because of the crazy size of the factory ones, so I havnt changed mine out (I also have the premium sound so its not that big a deal) For putting them in, the back ones are pretty easy to get to, you just fold your rear seat down and pop off the plastic covering them up... The ones in the front doors I don't know about, but I would recommend talking to a pro if you have side airbags, also be sure and get some speaker adapters so you can plug the new ones in to existing wiring that way everything will still work with the factory CD player... Hope that helps
