steer clear of any newer type f-bodies (v8), and 99+ Mustana GT, they have your number. you should be able to piss on the integra and accord, and like paonessa said, a civic turbo will definitely give you trouble

Those pre 99 mustangs aren't fast.considering the weight of the car and size of the engine, the maxima makes more power per liter and power per pound. the new ones are no joke though

You think the Maxima can take the 2003Accord 6spd I read some where where they got the coupe 6spd sport edtion to 60 in 6.2sec. Now that would be a nice race to see.

accord competes with altima, the two aren't really even in the same class, as far as price range goes. and yes, a well driven 2k3 6 sp would take a well driven accord v6 6 sp

i saw in a magazine that the 2k2-3's run 14.4 stock in the quarter mile. thats pretty impressive for a four door sedan. I also saw a video which someone ran a 14.2 with just a cai. Im gonna go for a 3.5 5th gen in the future since nissan chose the altima over the maxima to be its flagship.

Lets just face it the new maxima was based on the altima. And the new maxima isnt the sports sedan it used to be. Its friggin huge.

all altima's prior to the new one's were inline 4's so the max is definitely not based on the altima. the VQ was exclusive to maxima's/I30's until recently. and all new performance nissans are built on the same FM platform. and the new maxima's only weigh 45lbs more than the new altima's.

Actutally there is only a few cars based on the Fm platform. The cars that are based on that platform is the G35, 350Z and the Fx series cars. The new Max I heard is based on Ffm platform. It like the Fm platform except it like designed more for a front wheel drive car unilke the fm cars.
