Subaru wheels

Just wondered if anyone has ever stripped the gold paint off the wheels that comes on the Subaru Impreza WRC kits? I have the Tamiya 2005 Monte Carlo version and the finish on the pre painted wheels is not so good.I was going to strip them and re paint for a better finish, but I'm unsure what to use to strip them with.Anybody know what paint they paint them with?

Re: Subaru wheels

I stripped them before - IIRC it was with Castrol Super Clean. The paint isn't very resistant to being stripped though, I believe 91% alc should pull it off.
