wont shut off

Back in may I was on a trip got to where i was going and went to shut the truck off and it would not shut off. I had the check engine light on and and the 4x4 light on as well. I could turn the key off and pull it out but the truck stays on. I had the codes pulled that day and there were numerous codes that came out. I dont remeber what they were but the indaviduals that pulled the codes told me that the computer is going bad. Does any one have any ideas or thoughts?

Re: wont shut off

Why read codes if you do not remember no?
Codes do not say VCM /computer is bad.

What year and engine and mileage?
Have you had dealer check/run vin no. for recalls and tsb's on it?
If engine will not shut off ign switch is bad or there is a short in wiring.
Was it a one time thing or is it still doing it?
Check ign switch switching on off and power to everything.

Re: wont shut off

Welcome to AF. Agreed with MT-2500, the pcm will not cause this, more likely the ign switch or some anomaly in the wiring, which is less likely. Also please get used to posting pertinent info such as year, engine, mileage, and of course codes if applicable and available, this cuts down on us having to asking more questions than you do.
