Crankshaft Position Sensor How to Change? '92 V6
How do I change the Crankshaft Position on a Buick Century 1992 crankshaft position sensor?
Please forgive the following stupid questions: Is it behind the dampener? Is the dampener the same as the harmonic balance? Can I change the Crankshaft sensor without remove the dampener? It has a plastic shield around the sensor that I can't remove. Any Ideas? I've tried to remove the dampener, but I can't remove the main bolt. The engine keeps turning, with the belt on or not. I even tried the crazy thing where you brace a braker bar agianst the frame and kick the starter. But that only results in it being thrown under the car. Help! |

dude ur gonna have to wedge the flywheel with a big screwdriver , go under the car and u will see a plastic plate between the engine and tranny remove plate see gear, wedge it,need a good breaker bar to loosen that bolt, then pull off damper . u may need the special puller 4 this, rent or buy about twenty bucks. good luck
