84 z24 will not start

Newly rebuilt, firing, getting gas,HELP PLEASE

yes i have moved it up and down and back and forth but i believe i may have a bad head

i am not sure what you are refering to by up and down back and forth..

the oil pump timing has none of those in its configuration..

the oil pump timing is often overlooked and many times the cause of back firing ..

if you are not sure you did it right ..put the engine at first positon and reset the oil pump timinf 2 or three times till you are sure it is right..
