96 Ranger 'low ERG flow'

Check engine light came on the other day. Autozone read the code as 'low EGR flow'. Would this be a bad EGR valve? And if so. is it located right behind the PS pump, running from the exhaust to the valve to the air intake?

How hard is this to change? I know it is rusted and probably won't come loose without heat to it.

Thanks

Bill

You can clean the dpfe sensor connecting tubing. Also pull the egr valve and clean the inlet throughly. Use P-B Blaster and soak the threads good for a couple of days before trying to take it apart. The sensor goes bad more frequently. But the EGR inlet plugs up frequently.
