96 bmw 318ti

Im getting my first car and thinking of a 96 bmw 318ti, it has 128,000 miles, and its selling for 5,450. Ive read some reviews for it and it seems like a good buy. What do you guys think?

Re: 96 bmw 318ti

bmw is not really a bad car but with 128k miles it would really help you if they had records of maintenance because im telling you, when stuff goes wrong with bmws (and mercedes) it is big bucks and its generally only the beginning of hell with your car. if you decide to get it, treat it good and at least see if you can maybe testdrive it and take it to a shop to get them to look at it before you buy it. dont tell the owner this just say you want to testdrive, sometimes they wont let you take it lol. it also depends on the owner before you, if they are an older person, its very unlikely that they will have abused it alot but if its a younger person, then look out lol.

Re: 96 bmw 318ti

thanks man, cause that really makes me want to reconsider.
and i was driving with my friend the other day, and he has a vw gti, and it was a really good drive.
so i did some research, and the rabbit is essentially the same. so i might be leaning towards that.
