Question 97 Accord newly replaced radiator but still overheating

I just recently have had a new radiator put in with the old fans back on it. I have checked my fans and yes they are working. However my car continues to overheat and blow smoke out from the radiator overflow container. There is also a lot of leaking coming from close up to the window on the passengers side of the car. Does anyone know if that is where the hose connects to?

To catch you guys up on my car...

A month ago I was on my way to warped tour when I smelt that fishy radiator smell. I didn't know what it was so I was hallin ass down 80 and tried to excelerate more when my pedal just gave out. I then continued to drive until a gas station. My car was making a very loud clanking noise and I had cracked my radiator, hence the new one.

Does anyone know of any damages that usually follow with this?

I mean asside from the cylinder heads and gasket?

(My check engine light was on after all this but got turned off when coolant spilled into the battery cords. It has not lit up since)

Thanks for reading this!!

ALLISSA

P.S.
I'm trying to find a cheap place in RANCHO CORDOVA to take it to.

It over heats very fast, I'd say about 7 minutes and she's ready to be turned off. I'm not sure what you're saying about the cab or the engine but it's near the firewall so I am asuming yes it would be the hoses. It's hard to really tell exactaly where everything is wet at do to the fact that it's generally all over but mainly near those areas.

I actally didn't know there was two different colors to the CEL but now that you mention it, red. Is that desguishing the problems from the engine and the other parts that may be malfunctioning?

How can you tell if the heating core is bad or do I need to take it in?

Thank you very much for your help!! =]

the red lamp is for engine overheating & maybe for oil low if you dont have a guage.the yellow lamp is for computer control sensors etc. as far as cab thats where you sit to drive. engine compartment of course is under the hood.if you can pressure test that would help alot as to where the leak is.
if it overheats in 7 min.could be thermostat but if engine is cold & OH in 7 min.thermo proboly isnt your trouble but maybe.i'd think either a air pocket from when you had rad installed or head gasket.put a thermostat in make sure you bleed system after you fix the hose/leak. if that doesnt fix then i'd think head/gasket.to see if heater core is leaking it would be in the cab under carpet pass side.Good Luck
BTW you did check for water in oil right???
