2000 Sonoma 4wd
The light s on my 2000 4wd button actin up. It will say im in 4wd but im not. It wont go into 4hi but it will go into 4lo but both lights stay on. When i push 4hi it clicks and sounds like its trying to engage but wnt. Any body got any clues on where to start?

Get the codes.
Post back code no. What transfer case? Does the shift buttons have the auto 4W button?

I dont know what tranfer case. The buttons dont even light up. no it doesnt have auto 4wd.

Key on bulb check does all button lights light up?

If no auto button you can pull code by grounding pin 13 on diagnostic plug.
