Aftermarket Deck Question

Hey everyone,

I am thinking about putting this aftermarket deck into my car http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?mo...hId=148&page=1 ; What if anything will I lose by doing this in terms of manufacturers features. I know about the GMC chip which I am buying, I am just curious if i will lose any functionality of the car by swapping this stereo out. Also its an 04 GP GTP if that makes a difference.

no, as long as you install the chip or adapter then you are going to be fine as far as steering wheel control and such. nice choice i care for alpine and sony myself but to each his own

Heads up display will no longer read radio station or cd track.

To me its now worth swapping out to aftermarket if your going to lose a lot of your features.

another thing you will lose is your onstar. also...not real sure, but i know on some newer cars, the airbags may have some issues. I'm not up on the "new" GP's...so dont quote me on it
