Painting

How much should I expect to paint a caprice - same factor color - silver. I inherited the car from Grandparents 1991 with 37k miles. It has sat in the sun with only natural car washes (rain). It looks pretty bad.

it all depends on what you want to pay... you could do it yourself and have a car that looks better than it does now.

i was quoted something like $2,000 but that includes body work. if you use the search you will prob find more than what i posted above, this has been asked many times.

Re: Painting

If you wanna cut down the price a little i'm sure taking off all the trim and stuff like that yourself would help.

yeah screw macco... ive heard good stories and then i have heard horror stories, some of which included tales of paint falling off and rust bubbles in under 1 year. $800 isnt a bad price... the $1900 i was quoted included dent and rust repair, and the paint i chose wasnt cheap either

Re: Painting

Thanks,

I'll look into getting a quote then. There are no dings or a spot of rust. It does look like some spots are down to the bare metal. The lower area (base board?) is in excellent shape.
