1994 dodge intrepid stalling

i have a 1994 dodge intrepid es and it will stall out both when starting and when driving there was a recall for this problem back in 1994 i did not own the car than how do I find out if it went through this recall also had it on the analizer and it showed error 054 but cna't figure out what that error is any help would be appreciated

I had an issue with a 94 Intrepid that drove me and my brother nuts for a couple of weeks, it would stall and would not start right back up unless you took the battery terminal off and reset the computer. Try to watch the coil pack when the engine is running at night and watch for an arc from one of the towers on the pack to another one. When this would happen to his, it would somehow screw up the computer and it would not start right back up. Since the coil pack was replaced it has run perfect. Not sure if this is your issue, but it is something to check.
