HELP!!!!! 1992 eagle talon non turbo

I have a 1992 eagle talon with the 4g63 non turbo engine pretty much stock. I am searching for any kind of helpful advice about this car because it has given me a TON of trouble since I bought it. I am looking to make some modifications, but first I would appreciate some advice if such modifications would be worth it. I've had a multitude of problems from this car some of which have been taken care of but I am still dealing with no a/c and my second gear grinds no matter what I do. Every now and then the car will bog down and I will lose power but it usually kicks back in after a couple of minutes. transmission has already been replaced once with a used one help please!

Here is what I am looking to start off with (recommendations greatly appreciated):
1) header with free flow exhaust
2) Cold air intake
3) second gear synchronizer is crap, any suggestions about how to go about repairing? Replace transmission or rebuild this one??

Also, what transmissions will match up to the 4g63 non turbo engine?? Or where could I find parts to rebuild the transmission that is in it now??

I would rebuild the tranny, buying another used one you never know how long it will last. If you have it rebuilt then you know it should last for a good while. Also what are your goals for the car? If you actually want some good power out of it you may want to make it turbo. It wouldn't take that much work since you have the 4g63 motor. If you dont want a lot then some bolt ons will help out. Also make sure you have the maintanence done before you start modding. You want the car to be in top shape before you start upping the power.

Re: HELP!!!!! 1992 eagle talon non turbo

I put in a stainless BBP header and it is working out great. As for the transmission, where can I find parts so I can perform a rebuild? I'm having trouble putting a ram air intake on it because of the factory mass air meter what can I do in order to put ram air on without spending gobs of cash?
