cruise control

i need a new cruise sontrol panel. the thing that is mounted to the bottome of a steering wheel. does anyone know where i can find one or do i have to go to a dealer. 2003 pontiac grand am gt

you need to replace the whole ABS unit to get this, I dont think its available any other way.

what is exactly wrong with your controls ?

well the on button wouldnt stay down so i decided to take a look at it and pulled the gray cover off the bottom and no i cant even get that back on

yeah it wont go back on, it was held on with a small plastic clip which breaks. Usualy an air bag deployment breaks then too.

I did hear you might be able to buy that cruise unit(check ebay or the stealership), and if you have the steering wheel controls they'd come together.
I also heard people using a coin to hold the switch on.

You would need to remove the air bag to access/install this.
Pull the battery and remove the air bag fuse first.
