Air shocks for k1500
Need to mount a snow plow to a truck with tortion bar susp, I dont know of any other way to beef it up enough to handle the plow.
This truck is a very heavy duty half ton,Tow packge,Plow prep,3.73 gears,32 gallon tank,Fifth wheel plate. I have looked but dont find air shocks for the FRONT! Can anyone find me a link to someone with the shocks I need or have a better idea to beef up the tortion bar set up I have? Thank you Acewelderman

Re: Air shocks for k1500
I haven't seen any air shocks designed for front suspensions either...typically they're for load-levelling the rear during trailering as you probably know. You might consider a stiffer torsion bar (find some from a K2500 or 3500 or from a AM off-road mfr) or at least cranking down on the adjusting screw. No room in there for air bags with the 4wd setup.
Doesn't the plow mfr have any advice? They'd know what is needed to run a plow on just about any truck. [UPDATE] I have seen lifted 4x4s with shock setups attached to the frame and lower control arm. If you can find the brackets used to do this, then it would be a matter of finding air shocks to fit the app...a trial & error process.
