Jimmy Re-think

Just got a 1995 jimmy slt. payed labor for it because the owner can no longer drive due to heart attack. Any way, it would stall and die for days at a time so I thought It needed a fuel pump and was working on the process but decided to check the relays first which looked good and out of curiosity decided to turn the key on ands play with the electrics at the pump itself. After moving the wires around I had fuel spraying from my rear driver side door. OK! Fuel pump must be working and it is a short in the system that made it stall and after sitting so long I have ruptured fuel line mid tank. If you are famililiar with jimmy's, you can not get to them becaus of the frame. Dropping the tank is out I want to by pass the lines for a temp fix but need a diagram of the system so that I know flow and return. Does any one have one?

Re: Jimmy Re-think

Big line is fuel pump pressure.
Mid size line is fuel return.
If a small line to it a vapor/vent line.

A temp repair is not a good idea.
Fix it right.
Cut out bad part and use double flare fittings and line for repair or replace the hole line.

Re: Jimmy Re-think

Understand that this fuel system runs under high pressure and bypassing a rusted/damaged line with fuel hose is a unwise idea.
