What does a code 72 mean for a 96 2.4L

I performed the switch test for the check engine light on my Stratus and came up with a 1-2-7-2-5-5 code. I belive that the 1-2 code is the start of the test and a 5-5 is the end of the test. If this is the case then what does the 7-2 code stand for?

12 I believe has something to due with the batterie being disconnected recently.

72 possibly is a catalytic converter code? I'm sure somebody with more chrysler two digit code knowledge will chime in ASAP!

55 is indeed the end of the codes

12 Means the battery has been disconnected within the last 50 keystarts. It will also come up if any other code is stored.

72 is Catalyst efficiency failure. Catalyst efficiency is below required level. In lay terms, your catalytic converter is bad.

55 means end of test.

Hope this helps
