Hi Everyone,
I have a 2001 Chevy Cavalier and recently it started making a knocking noise. I have noticed it when parking and turning. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks for your help! Nina |

Re: Help! Knocking noise
If you think its coming from the suspension there are a couple of known issues with these style front ends.
One is the rear bushings on the front control arms. The rubber separates from the metal sleeves that are pressed into the control arm. If this is the case and they are bad enough the lower control arm will be sitting on the subframe and you will see the rubber bushing sitting right above it. They other is stabilizer links which typically break.

Re: Help! Knocking noise
Does it increase or decrease with speed? Is it coming from the front or back? Does it sound like it is coming from the engine?
