water on driver side floor ......

2002 Aurora, there is cold water accumulating on the floor, drivers side, where the seat and the console meet. I replaced the sunroof drain tube last month and all was well until yesterday, it had not rained, there is no wet areas other than a small area in front of the drivers seat, where it meets the console. the rear carpeting and passenger side are dry.

could this be the carpet wicking up any remaining water from the previous drain tube leak? or has another leak developed elsewhere?

thanks
vega

I saw closed posts recently with water on passenger side rear floor with no solution.
Time to open it, again.
I now have the same problem and was able to trace the issue to
the front right door. Water is getting into the door through the window glass bottom in heavy rain. The carpet on the right front door panel is soaked. The water the drips/flows along the plastic right side rail (next to the seat) and flows under the right front seat and accumalates in the rear right floor area. The rear portion is lower so it accumalates there.
I have not yet fligured our where the drain holes are in the door.

i had a similar problem but on the passenger side;try checkin the windshield for a loose spot by applying some pressure from inside out ,for a bad seal. I used a flowable silicone for glass for hard to reach spots, it worked for awhile but i ended up pushing out a 1 1/2 inch gap and stripped and cleaned metal and glass surfaces and applied a commercial grade window glaze sealant ,works like a champ!

p.s. remove upper panel trim carefully i think it slides up,it gives a better view.
