'04 Grand Prix - Grinding noise when turning & braking

When I am pulling into a parking slot and have a need to turn & brake, there is a grinding and slipping, right front passenger wheel. Some times it does, some times it doesn't. I release the brake & push again and it catches. I just had the brakes replaced about 5,000 miles ago. It was doing it before the brake replacement and it is doing it still. Someone told me it is the tie rod and that Grand Prix's have this issue.

This board helped me with the leak, front passenger side, the dealership wanted $350 for diagnostic to find the leak. I ended up fixing it with the directions posted here, cost me $3.59 for the glue to put the gasket back on that fell off.... Hoping you can give direction before I put into shop

Thanks

I think it sounds more like a brake issue than a tie rod end. You can easily check the tie rod ends. Just jack the car up so the suspect tire is off the ground. Grab on the right side and the left side of the tire and try give it a little wiggle. You can do the same thing with hands on top and bottom of tire and wiggle it that way. There shouldn't be any play in the wheel.
