Don't pick on the new guy

My name is dan and I'm from california. I am 20 years old, a college student at scu and I live in a van down by the RIVER!!!

my experience is with old old cars. My grandfather and i restored an oakland, two model a's and a build a steam car from a kit. I worked my way up to the late sixties working on muscle cars with my friends. AAR cuda, camero ss/rs and a firebird.

Right now I've got a 89 mustang that i got from the father of one of my friends. 'twas a steal, 3gs for a cherry with 84000. I want to turn it into a sleeper, nothing too potient. I don't know a lot about the modern machine. I keep looking for a carburator under my hood. I might have some pretty simple questions so don't tease me too much, over all i do know what i'm talking about.

Who ever started this site up deserves a metal. I hope it's profitable becuase this is one of the few sites on the internet that deserves to have been built. I really appreciate the environment and helpfullness of it all. Thanks for having me.

Actually, the Type 1 was the Bug (aka Type 1 Sedan). The Type 2 was the transporter/Microbus. The Type 3 was the Squareback family (Notchback, Fastback). Type 4 was the 411/412 (which also supplied the engine for the later buses and 914)

The Type 181 was a family of cars that were built from the Type 1 chassis. The Ghia is another (and there was a Type 3 Ghia, that looked different).

Good to see you here, Dan! I've had over 30 custom VWs over the past 20 years...
