99' AC question

What would cause an A/C to blow ice cold one minute and just cool the next. According to my gauge, the freon is charged. This happened last week. today it will still blow cold, but not ice cold.
This is front and back. Fans are working, temp control is working.

Any thoughts?

Re: 99' AC question

Check the refrigerant pressure only with all doors wide open and ac on full blast, front and rear. The ac clutch should never disengage under this condition.

The radiator fans should be blowing anytime the ac is under load. Is that happening? Does the ac work well when you spray the condensor coil with water? I have a "summer jumper" in place that keeps the radiator fans blowing anytime the ignition circuit is active ... that helps a great deal.

Clean the condensor coil of small rocks and sand ... straighten the damaged fins.

Check/replace the cabin air filter. Clean the cabin blower air wheel. Clean the evap coil (difficult to access).

Yes, the fans are on with the A/C. I will try the others. Thanks
